PARKING PROBLEMS

We do have some major parking problems in the patch, with folks parking on footpaths, grass verges, blocking other peoples drives and just inconsiderate parking.
Unfortunately some ares like the older parts of Bradville where built before people had cars and as most of the residents then worked at the Wolverton Works ( for the railway ) they had little use of cars as train travel was free to them.

In some areas Stantonbury Parish Council with co-funding from Milton Keynes Council have put in parking bays like the new one on Fowler Stantonbury however these are very costly.

Milton Keynes Council have agreed new measures to deal with the parking on footpaths and grass verges which should help with the enforcement of illegal parking.

So I am asking that everyone who has a vehicle makes a

RAFS UP & RUNNING

The Residents Association For Stantonbury RAFS are now up and running.
For 15 years the residents of Stantonbury have not had a voice, which has led to the deterioration and neglect of Stantonbury as a whole.

With grateful thanks to Councillor Barbara Wright, four meetings were held and a healthy interest shown by the residents has led to the RAFS being formed.

Councillor Barbara Wright will be working with the group keeping them informed on all the plans for the redevelopment of the area by Sainsbury's and any plans the Primary Care Trust have for the future of the GP Practices.

Stantonbury BT phone box

Well we have won round 1 of the phone box fight Milton Keynes Council has objected to the removal of the one at Redbridge by Ormarnde. Its a good job we all had a chance to request that it is left as between September 2006 to 2007 it was used 2686 time.
The meeting for 22nd looks like we shall have a good turn out more on that next week so hopefully we will get a group of folks who will come together and be a good voice for the community and also arrange soon good events.

Mark Lancaster our MP came to Bradville and held a MP surgary at the Parish Office on Friday 5th September with a good turn out of people we where a bit cramped.
He will be coming to do one on Stantonbury in Octoberall being well.
